Samantha Dilday
WSU

Sam Dilday, MS is a current PhD student at Washington State University in the Entomology department. Her current research focuses on better understanding the common urban pest, the odorous house ant (Tapinoma sessile). Sam graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor’s in Biology and went on to obtain her Master’s in Environmental Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Besides her interests in insects, Sam is a scientific illustrator and is passionate about making science research accessible and understandable to the general public. Sam hopes her continued research into ant species of the Pacific Northwest can benefit the pest management community and she is looking forward to working more closely with pest control operators across Washington.

Margaret Garcia

Margaret Garcia is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the Pest Control Industry. During her career, she worked for one of the Top 40 Pest Control companies in the northeast region, where she held various roles and made significant contributions to the company's success. Margaret's expertise spans across multiple areas, including sales, service, marketing, retention, and most importantly, the Customer Service Experience. Her extensive knowledge and experience in these domains have helped shape her understanding of the pest control industry and its various aspects.

As the President of Grit PPO, a US-based BPO company, Margaret leads the way in providing outsourced call center services specifically tailored to the pest control, wildlife, tree and lawn industries. Her leadership and vision have made Grit PPO the first-ever female-owned and operated call center dedicated to these sectors. With Margaret at the helm, Grit PPO continues to excel in delivering exceptional service and support to its clients in the pest control industry. She also enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones, her french bulldog, traveling and a good matcha latte to go with reading a good documentary.

Paul Bello

Paul holds a BSc degree in Entomology from the University of Georgia, an MBA in Accounting from Adelphi University. Paul is a former student under his mentor Dr. Austin M Frishman. Dr. Frishman is one of the industry's foremost experts in the pest control industry and consultant at his Pest Management Technology program at the State of New York at the Farmingdale extension.

Paul J. Bello has made T.V. appearances on Swarms by National Geographic. His industry knowledge has been recognized & publicized by the New York Times, Newsday, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and a variety of media publications.

As an author, he was selected as a revision editor of the Mallis Handbook of Pest Control 8th edition commonly regarded as the industry’s premier reference. He has several published articles that appear in industry magazines Pest Management Professional and Pest Control Technology. His monthly column “On the Road With . . .” has appeared in several state trade association monthly magazines since 1995. In October 2011 he published his first book The Bed Bug Combat Manual which is a practical guide to bed bug control about 2 years later he published The Cockroach Combat Manual II which he co-authored with Dr. Frishman
