March 8 | Give To Gain
On March 8, people around the world will celebrate International Women’s Day, recognizing the achievements, leadership, and contributions of women across all industries. The pest management profession is proud to join in this global celebration.
While women serve in every role within pest management — from technicians and managers to researchers, educators, and business owners — they remain underrepresented in what has traditionally been a male-dominated field. Highlighting their success is one of the most powerful ways we can inspire the next generation and strengthen our industry for the future.
The 2026 International Women’s Day theme is “Give To Gain.” When we invest in mentorship, recognition, and opportunity, we all gain a stronger, more inclusive profession.
Consider sharing a photo, a short story, or a quote about what makes the women on your team exceptional.
If you know an exemplary woman in pest management who demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and commitment to our industry, consider nominating her for Washington PWIPM of the Year.
Nominations close: June 30

Recognition matters. Visibility matters. When we celebrate excellence, we create momentum.
This March 8, let’s amplify the voices and achievements of women in pest management — and continue building an industry where opportunity and leadership are accessible to all.
