Course Description
This one-hour virtual course provides pest management professionals with practical, science-based strategies for managing ants, snails, and slugs using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and granular baiting techniques. The session explores pest biology and behavior, seasonal feeding preferences, and how those factors influence bait selection and placement.
Participants will learn the differences between common bait active ingredients—including iron phosphate, metaldehyde, and boric acid–based products—along with their modes of action, environmental considerations, and application best practices. Emphasis is placed on prevention, habitat modification, label comprehension, and long-term control strategies.
