Thursday Adventures

If attendees choose to arrive early, we've arranged some exciting activities for Thursday. Start your day with a thrilling horseback riding adventure or enjoy a relaxing golf outing. In the afternoon, we will gather for a brief overview and welcome in the Cascade Courtyard.

Following the welcome session, participants can head into town for dinner at various restaurants, providing an excellent opportunity to engage with vendors and colleagues while sharing a meal. It's the perfect way to kick off our Summer Meeting and start networking before the main event!

Friday Session Highlights

Adam Weber We are thrilled to kick off our Summer Meeting with an inspiring presentation by Adam Weber. Adam is passionate about the pest control industry and is dedicated to giving back to the community that has given him so much. His key message is clear: surround yourself with the best people and truly listen. Adam will share his journey and invaluable advice on how to achieve success by setting a vision, creating goals, and aligning them to MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Voice For Pest We will hear from Raymond Kidwell, an expert with Voice for Pest. Raymond will delve into the capabilities of VOIP, integrated phone systems, and AI, providing attendees with a comprehensive overview that goes beyond promotional material. His insights will help you understand how these technologies can enhance your business operations and customer interactions.
Kemp AndersonGrant Sinnott Kemp Anderson Consulting will present on recent macroeconomic trends and inflation rates, and how these factors are driving changes both internally at your organization and in the marketplace, specifically regarding M&A activity. They will also discuss the increased involvement of private equity in our industry, changes in the landscape, valuations, and integration. Owners will receive key questions to consider when they are ready to sell.

 

Networking Activities Spend the heart of the day engaging with fellow attendees during our exciting networking activities. Choose from a river float, adventure park, or wine tasting—each offering a unique way to connect and relax.

Reception Dinner and Auction Conclude the evening back at the Icicle Village Resort for our reception dinner, featuring comedian Jeff Caudill. Enjoy a delightful meal followed by an auction to raise money for the ongoing support of the Laurel Hansen endowment. This endowment helps keep the pest control industry up to date on ideal practices for sustainability and managing pests, a rare and valuable gift to the WSU Department of Entomology.

Saturday Session Highlights

General Membership Meeting We will conclude our weekend's adventures with important updates from our association during our general membership meeting. We will discuss steps we are taking regarding door-to-door sales, how the WSDA cheating investigation delayed online testing, the achievements and direction of our committees, and the outlook in our changing government. Additionally, we will elect our next vice president and at-large representative. This meeting is where we can hear from the membership, learn what is important, and prepare for the year ahead.

Artificial Intelligence in the Pest Industry After the general membership meeting, we will move into a discussion on artificial intelligence in the pest industry and how it is changing and moving business forward. Adam Weber will share the ins and outs of AI and how it can be incorporated into your business. During our last meal of the summer meeting, we will pick the brains of three industry leaders on how and what to look for when implementing AI within our companies.

Awards Ceremony Before you depart, join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our members and our association during an awards ceremony. This is a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of our peers.
