Industry Awards: Recognizing Excellence in Pest Management
In 2025, WSPMA proudly continued to expand its efforts to recognize the individuals who strengthen and advance Washington’s pest management industry. Industry awards are an important way to honor the leadership, service, and dedication that drive our association forward and elevate the profession as a whole.
This year included the presentation of the inaugural WSPMA Impact Award, honoring Tim, a past executive officer of WSPMA whose legacy of leadership, mentorship, and commitment to the industry continues to inspire. His impact on the association and the people within it set the standard for service and professionalism that WSPMA strives to uphold.
WSPMA also recognized Ben Weber as the WSPMA PestVets of the Year, celebrating his leadership, service to fellow veterans, and dedication to the pest management industry. Ben’s contributions exemplify the mission of PestVets—supporting veterans and strengthening community. Members are encouraged to support Ben as a candidate for National PestVet of the Year, helping showcase Washington’s leadership at the national level. In addition, Samantha Malone was honored with the PWIPM Award, recognizing her commitment to supporting and advancing women in pest management through education, mentorship, and leadership development. PWIPM continues to create meaningful opportunities for connection and growth across the Pacific Northwest.
Looking ahead, voting for the 2026 WSPMA Industry Awards will open in January. Members are encouraged to participate by nominating and voting for peers whose contributions deserve recognition. These awards reflect the values that define our industry—service, leadership, collaboration, and care for the people behind the work—and help celebrate the individuals who make WSPMA and the profession stronger each year.
