Help PWIPM Reach Our $1,000 Goal
The WSPMA PWIPM chapter has raised $529 toward our $1,000 goal for the Safe House Project—and the fundraiser remains open through June 30.
Earlier this month, the WSPMA Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) chapter planned to gather at Marathon Park in Olympia for our inaugural Steps of Hope fundraiser benefiting the Safe House Project.
While we did not have any in-person participants for the walk, our supporters have already helped raise $529. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed and helped spread awareness of this important cause.
Because the need remains great, we are keeping the fundraiser open through June 30 and invite our members, industry partners, friends, and families to help us reach our goal.
Why the Safe House Project?
The Safe House Project works to end human trafficking and restore hope to survivors by increasing access to safe housing and supportive care throughout the United States.
Their work helps connect survivors with secure housing, trauma-informed services, education, and resources that support long-term healing and independence.
Human trafficking impacts communities of every size and in every state. Survivors often face significant barriers when attempting to leave trafficking situations, including a lack of safe housing and support systems. The Safe House Project helps bridge that gap by building partnerships, supporting care providers, and creating pathways for survivors to rebuild their lives.
Why PWIPM Chose This Cause
As pest management professionals, our industry is built around protecting people, homes, and communities. The women of PWIPM wanted to extend that mission beyond our daily work by supporting an organization that provides safety, hope, and opportunity to those in need.
While our walk may not have taken place as originally planned, the purpose behind it remains just as important. Every dollar donated goes directly to the Safe House Project and helps support their efforts to serve survivors and expand access to critical resources.
