Utilize Rodent Awareness Week to Educate Consumers Ahead of Winter

Rodent Awareness Week 2026
October 18–24, 2026
The Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA) is encouraging pest management professionals across the country to use Rodent Awareness Week to educate consumers about seasonal rodent risks and reinforce the importance of professional pest management.
As fall weather pushes rodents indoors, this is a timely opportunity for WSPMA members to connect with customers and their communities about rodent prevention, warning signs, health and property concerns, and when to contact a qualified pest management professional.
According to an NPMA survey conducted online by The Harris Poll, only 40% of Americans reported taking preventive measures to keep rodents out of their homes. Rodent Awareness Week gives pest management professionals an opportunity to help close that knowledge gap with practical, credible information.
